While Reality Check video comparisons of real life & virtual footage have become very popular with current titles, it’s something special to see this done to old faithfuls of the sim racing community.
Below is a reality check video made using Richard Burns Rally as MiniWintz compares footage from RBR with real-life footage of the VW Polo R WRC on the Ouninpohja stage of Rally Finland.
As you can see below, RBR compares quiet well despite closing in on its ten anniversary quite soon. Released in 2004, the title is kept alive by an enthusiastic community that keeps releasing excellent mods for what many people still consider the best rallying simulation.
