Slightly Mad Studios released a second batch of in-game previews showing us the Project CARS PlayStation 4 version in action. The previews are all unedited game-play screen captures that show the graphical potential of Sony’s next generation console. Next to the PC and PlayStation 4, Project CARS will also be released on the Nintendo Wii U and Xbox One.
it was already reported that the Wii U version of Project CARS would run at a 720p resolution targeting 30 frames per second. In a comments section on the Eurogamer website, Head of Slightly Mad Studios Ian Bell revealed that the Project CARS development team is aiming for a 60 frames per second target on the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One versions. For now it is rumoured that the 1080P PS4 version is already showing the potential to do so, but that it is not yet confirmed that the Xbox One will be able to deliver that frame-rate at 1080P. 720p at 60fps, or 1080p at 30fps? the future will tell us.
Furthermore it is also announced that the PlayStation 4 version will be compatible with Sony’s Project Morpheus virtual reality headset. On the PC version the title will support the Oculus Rift VR set.
From now on Slightly Mad Studios will publish more Project CARS PS4 details, screenshots and videos on the PlayStation Blog. Should you miss it, we will surely keep you posted. Project CARS by Slightly Mad Studios is targeted to be released in the autumn of 2014 for the PC, XBox One, PS4 and WiiU systems.
