Project CARS – Bentley License Announced

Slightly Mad Studios has announced the next licensing addition to their WMD-powered Project CARS title as Bentley joins the simulation.
The prestigious British manufacturer first made a name for themselves in racing in the 1920s before returning back to on-track competition in the new century.
Project CARS will feature Bentley’s two most-recent race cars, starting with the 2003 Bentley Speed 8 LMGTP prototype.
The closed-top prototype helped Bentley get back onto the top podium at Le Mans following a 73-year absence, driven by Tom Kristensen, Rinaldo Capello & Guy Smith. Built to the Le Mans Prototype regulations, the Speed 8 uses a 615hp V8 twin-turbo engine and a sequential Xtrac six-speed gearbox, weighing 916 kilos.
Aside from the accomplished Le Mans winner, Project CARS will also feature Bentley’s newest weapon of choice for on-track competition – The 2013 Bentley Continental GT3. Designed for the FIA GT3 category that is used in countless sports car racing series around the world, the Continental GT3 is powered by a mighty 4-liter V8 twin-turbo engine, providing 608hp of power.
The Continental GT3 further fleshes out Project CARS’ GT3 class that already features the BMW Z4 GT3, the Mercedes Benz SLS AMG GT3, the Mclaren MP4-12C

Adding other contemporary GT racing machinery such as various GT4-class cars and the BMW M3 GT2, the GT cars are becoming a major cornerstone of Project CARS’ career mode, even though licensing is not yet complete.
Project CARS will be available for the PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Steam OS, and Wii U starting Fall 2014.
