A new trailer for Codemasters’ upcoming driving sim, Grid Autosport, has been released. The trailer focuses on one of the game’s disciplines: tuner cars.
In the trailer, British people with accents so thick they need subtitles talk enthusiastically about tuners and drift racing in general while game footage plays. The trailer doesn’t really discuss the game at all, but instead focuses on real-world drift racing, and how it pushes cars and drivers to the limits of their capabilities.
The racing game field is a crowded one, with recent releases of major driving franchises Forza Mortosport and Need for Speed, and upcoming offerings from Driveclub, The Crew, Project Cars and Forza Horizon. With its realistic physics and solid cockpit visuals, Grid Autosport looks like it has the ability to compete with the rest of the field, but it will need to differentiate itself from the other strong racing titles in order to break away from the pack.
Grid Autosport is being developed and published by Codemasters, and is set for a June 24 release on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
