The HistoricSimracing Organisation has released their Formula 500 1972 mod for rFactor. The extensive mod is based on the 1971 & 1973 F5000 mods made by Dave Sabre, coming with scratch-made physics and other improvements. Players are given a rich selection of vehicles to choose from as the mod comes with 14 different chassis & engines, making up 36 different combinations.

The Formula 5000 was designed as a low-cost series for various cars not fitting into any particular formula. Manufacturers included notable names such as McLaren, Lola and Lotus, the cars were powered by engines up to five litre capacity (hence the name). |
